Pulse Intelligence just got better
Over the Easter weekend, we were hard at work improving Pulse Intelligence and we're excited to now share the updates we've made!
Pulse Intelligence is the umbrella name for a bunch of Pulse features that are powered by Artificial Intelligence and we first launched it in June 2024 with our chat bot, we titled PulseBot. PulseBot was then renamed to Pulse Intelligence and we started building more and more features that are powered by AI.
Newer Model
We've upgraded the model that Pulse uses to a newer, more cost effective one. This is something we haven't previously updated so the model we were using was old, less accurate and quite expensive to use. The model we've updated to is on the cutting edge of what's currently possible with AI and we're now in a better position to allow Pulse to use AI for even more features.
Better Chat
We have rebuilt Pulse Intelligence Chat from the ground up. Previously, it could provide general information such as "how best to structure a reply" and "how to get your customers to leave a review", but it failed on providing information in the context of your company. This has now changed so it can answer questions specifically about your location and Pulse as a platform. We've recorded a demo which you can view below:

Tone Matching Replies
We recently unveiled a feature that allows you to Generate Replies with Pulse Intelligence and it works brilliantly. We have, however, made a slight improvement. Whilst it was great at matching the review length and sentiment when generating a reply, it didn't take into account the tone of your previous replies. This meant that your replies may have looked like they were all typed out by different people. Pulse Intelligence will now look at your previous replies to gauge the tone you've used previously when replying to reviews. This means that your generated replies will read/sound more like you've actually typed them.
Enhanced Sentiments
The Pulse Dashboard has a handy widget that sums up your recent reviews into a handy sentiment summary, so you can see at a glance, what your customers are saying. We've made some slight improvements to prompts we're using for this so that the summaries are less wordy and more to the point. Occasionally they would start to ramble a bit too much and the whole point of them is they give you everything you need to know in 1-2 seconds of reading.
Aside from Pulse Intelligence improvements, we've also made some small UI tweaks to make certain areas more consistent. We've already started putting plans and ideas together for where we want to take Pulse Intelligence next and we're looking forward to making a start!
