Pulse 2.0 is Now Available

After months of hard work, we're super happy to announce the re-launch of Pulse, which we're naming Pulse 2.0. This is a (pretty much) complete re-write of the first version of Pulse, which we launched earlier this year and we're very excited for the future of Pulse.
When we first started building Pulse, we adopted a "ship fast" mindset which meant we worked fast to get features out of the door and into the hands of our users. There's a couple of benefits to doing this:
- It makes the platform more valuable quickly because you can ship features rapidly, we were launching new features every other day.
- You can get fast feedback from customers on whether features work for them or not and then iterate to success, rather than trying to build the perfect product without anyone actually using it.
Our new homepage details all of our top features, but let's go through some of them in this post where we'll offer some additional insights and stories from development:
Pulse Score

The beating heart of Pulse is the Pulse Score, think of it like a credit score but for your Google reviews. Based on several different metrics such as review consistency, review engagement and account verification, we take all of this information and work out a single score that we show on the dashboard. This score can and will shift over time, if you go a month without getting any reviews, then your score is likely to decrease, whereas if you're getting new reviews constantly and also replying to them in a timely manner, your score will increase.
Location Management

Depending on your package, Pulse allows you to add as many Google locations as you want, providing you have access to them on Google! With Pulse 2.0 you can now manage those locations within Pulse, which will then update the location in Google either straight away, or at a time in the future that you set. For example, if you have multiple locations and want to get your Christmas opening times all set up, you can configure them in Pulse and then tell Pulse to not sync the changes to Google until a date and time that suites you, you'll then also get a notification to let you know that your location information has been updated.
Review Management

Pulse allows you to see all reviews that have ever been left for your Google location. If someone deletes a review on Google, then Pulse will still show it because we believe a deleted Google review may still hold valuable information you can use to improve your business. Pulse allows you to filter your reviews for certain phrases, certain ratings, certain dates and times and their reply status. In addition to that, with Pulse 2.0, you can now also manage your review replies directly through Pulse, meaning you can create, edit and delete replies to any of your Google reviews, without needing to leave Pulse.
Competitors

Competitors have been on Pulse for a long time, however with Pulse 2.0, we decided to completely change how competitors work. Previously, we would notify you whenever the Pulse score for a competitor changed. We thought about this and whether this was actually useful information for those wishing to keep track of the competition. We decided that it wasn't, it was a bit like comparing credit scores with other people. With Pulse 2.0, our platform will now send you notifications when key events happen with a Competitor such as them getting a new 1 star review, a new 5 star review or having a change in rating.
We believe these changes to our Competitors feature will make it much more useful to our users. Furthermore, the notifications you receive can be changed per competitor, for example if you only care about when a certain competitor receives a bad review or you only want to be told when a competitor receives a really good review:

API
Brand new for Pulse 2.0 is the Pulse API. This is something we plan on building out when demand for it grows, but right now can be used to manage your Google locations from a 3rd party system and comes with beautiful documentation to help your developers get up and running with our API in no time at all.

We have a lot of plans to build on our API and are excited for the future of it. Pulse users can manage their API tokens directly in Pulse and can revoke them at any time.
In addition to the above, let's not forget about the other features that Pulse provides. Pulse 2.0 has brought many changes to the following:
Trends
We've changed how this data is visualised on the Dashboard, which should make it easier to spot popular trends.
Sentiments
We're now using a newer AI model to generate Sentiments from your Google reviews, which makes them more accurate and easier to understand.
Pulse Intelligence
We've rebranded PulseBot to Pulse Intelligence. Our AI tool that is just a click away to give advice on how to get more reviews, how to craft the perfect reply to a review and more.
Impact
We've implemented several fixes to our Review impact data which shows you just how far you are away from achieving that coveted 5* Google rating or even just how many reviews you are away from jumping up to the next Google rating.
Billing & Subscriptions
Pulse now partners with Stripe to deliver a wonderful billing system. Pulse users can subscribe, manage and cancel their plan from the Stripe billing portal, which can be accessed via Pulse.
Notifications
We've introduced lots of changes to our notifications to make them more accurate, easier to understand and more useful. Notifications can be managed within Pulse where you can pick and choose which notifications you want to receive and which ones you don't.
It has taken a lot of work to get Pulse to where it is today and we are incredibly excited to start onboarding more businesses to help them with their Google reviews. We are also excited to start work on features that we've had planned before we even started work on Pulse 2.0 and we cannot wait to share them with you.
We'll be posting regular updates on here, so be sure to keep checking back for more information.
