Managing Special Hours on Pulse
At Pulse, we want to make it easy for you to manage your Google locations and reviews all from one place, which is why we've just shipped an enhancement that allows you to manage your "Special Hours" within Pulse.
Being able to manage "Regular Hours" already existed, Regular Hours being when you're open / closed throughout the week. Special Hours are slightly different in that they allow you to manage when you're open on specific days. Special Hours are perfect for times such as Christmas, when you're business may operate on different hours or be closed on specific dates. Setting Special Hours means you don't need to remember to re-adjust your Regular Hours, because you're only changing specific dates and once those dates have past, then your Location goes back to Regular Hours.
Within Pulse, we've added a new section to the page where you can Edit your Google Location:
In this section, you can add Special Hours, edit Special Hours and remove Special Hours. Once done, click "Save" and your changes will be synced to Google!
Setting Special Hours is a great alternative to constantly changing your Regular Hours, it's less management for you but also allows your customers to continue to be in the loop about when you're open and closed.
Special Hours don't have to just be used for Public holidays though. There's plenty of other use cases for them such as perhaps you have a doctors appointment and won't be opening until a couple of hours after you usually do or maybe you've got some shop refurbishment planned so you're closing for a couple of days. Whatever the reason, Pulse has got you covered 🤝
Oh, if you use the Pulse API, we've also updated that so you're able to manage Special Hours from a 3rd party system too! 👨💻
Whilst we're on the subject of Opening Hours, we also took the time to refine how you manage Regular Hours and we've made a couple of improvements to the UI/UX of that area too, so it's more consistent with Special Hours:
We hope these changes make it easier for you to manage your Opening Hours! Remember, keeping these up to date will ensure you don't annoy your customers by having them think you're open when you're not! Unless you're permanently changing your Opening Hours, we'd always recommend setting Special Hours for days that need it 👍
